The Kytos Project - Excellent Young Adult Fiction From UK Author

Genre: Young Adult Fiction

Title: The Kytos Project

AUTHOR: John von Kesmark

Jimmy, Jack, Bill, and Ashok live in 2070 Britain. They started the day playing cricket on the beach then became too curious about a restricted area at the edge of the beach. Their exploration landed three of them as prisoners of the Rathings – the genetically engineered half-rat half-human breed currently in power. The fourth boy became a guest of the Magars – the half-Magpie half-human breed currently at war with the Rathings. The story that unfolds challenges all the boys, one of them requiring a wheelchair due to spina bifida, to their physical and mental limits as they seek their way home.

John von Kesmark creatively uses genetic engineering as the basis for this suspenseful tale of what could result if a mad scientist has the power to play God. With crisply detailed visual descriptions, the author explores potential results of possible DNA combinations that leave the reader yearning, yet also afraid, to turn the page.

John von Kesmark lives on the River Thames. He has traveled on business throughout the USA, Middle East, Africa and the Far East and has published many non-fiction articles. The Kytos Project is his first published fiction.

This novel is the first in an expected trilogy. It is a great futuristic story that will entertain teenage and adult readers. This is a recommended read for any age interested in the genre, especially those who like to ponder ‘what if’ scenarios of the future. Allbooks Reviews.
